Ventura County Fire Department personnel are mopping-up small brush fire, now approximately 3 acres in size, located north of Piru. Forward progress of the fire has been stopped, and crews have made good progress toward containment. 

Firefighters will remain on scene for the next several hours to ensure all hot spots are fully extinguished. In addition, the fire perimeter will be periodically patrolled over the next 48–72 hours to monitor for any rekindles or remaining hazards.
